Many who read the title of this article might think that the most controversial second in the America of today is whether the United States – States should continue its war in Iraq. Those who thought it would, in fact, completely wrong.

This article is actually of the facts, not on our commitment to make Iraq and its people adopt a democratic society, but to return to the place God occupies in our public institutions and our society.

Oliver "Buzz" Thomas recently explored this issue in the U.S. Today (10-15-07), the largest newspaper in America of great daily circulation. Thomas is a minister, lawyer and author of 10 things your minister wants to tell (I can not because he needs the work).

All First, we have the constitution world's oldest written, however, the U.S. Constitution was not the first written constitution in this country, a distinction that belongs to the fundamental order Connecticut, wrote in 1639.

U.S. Constitution was written in 1787, was ratified and entered into force in March 1789, exactly 150 years later the constitution of Connecticut.

Very few of our citizens could that our Constitution came into force, still less could say much on the place of God in our Constitution.

Thomas said many Americans do not know what our Constitution says that our first freedom: freedom religious.

Ask most Americans what the Constitution says about God, and his answer may surprise you.

"A nation under God? "No, it's in our Pledge of Allegiance.

"Endowed by our Creator with certain inalienable rights?" No, it's in our Declaration of Independence.

A recent survey by the First Amendment Center found that 55% of Americans believe that our Constitution establishes us as a "Christian nation" and while nearly all Americans say that religious freedom is important, only 56% of respondents think it should applied to all religious groups.

The truth is that the U.S. Constitution says nothing about God. Not a single reference to "God" in our Constitution.

The only reference to religion in our Constitution in Article VI, which states that "no religious test shall ever be required as a requirement for any position or office in the United States. "

Most colonies are religious qualifications for public office on time. The Carolinas, for example, goes so far as to require that all elected officials is Protestant. If you were a practicing Christian, but not a Protestant, apparently, did not qualify for public service in the Carolinas.

Only 2 years later, in 1791 the first 10 amendments known Constitutionpopularly Letter Rightswere as ratified by the first session of the First Congress.

The first amendment stated in particular that "Congress shall make no no law establishing religion. "

Olive Thomas suggests that Congress was likely due to concern over "the influence corrupting the institutions of church and state have each other when one gets too close. "By hosting, we can assume power and control.

The idea is that our government is to remain neutral and non-citizen should be favored or disadvantaged because of their religious faith.

The separation of church and state does not mean the God and the separation of religion and government or politics. Get this right.

The First Amendment only restricts government power, not people power or the any church authority.

Professionals can develop and practice their own religion. They can also promote issues and candidates, but are the price that can lose its tax exempt status from the IRS because there is no tax deduction for partisan causes, charitable causes.

You can practice freedom of expression, press freedom, the right to assemble peacefully and the right to petition the government for redress (remedy or set right) complaints.

This means the power of the Church and the power of people, but not the government power to establish or use religion as a tool to make whipping his orders.

The truth is that the Bill of Rights says nothing about God. Not a single reference to "God" in our Bill of Rights.

We are a debt gratitude to the makers of our Constitution to limit (at least on paper) the power of our government and politicians and bureaucrats who run it.

For there is, of course, not limited to lying, cheating, stealing, selfishness and complacency of politicians and bureaucrats pursue their own agenda for personal gain at our expense your side, while serving under the pretext of serving us.

HL Mencken (1880-1956), journalist, literary critic and American social, he said, "Never can underestimate the stupidity of the American people. "

It would be even more difficult to underestimate the deception lies, theft and misconduct practiced by our distinguished elected politicians and appointed bureaucrats.

For the record, there are references to "God" in our Declaration of Independence and our allegiance, but not in the United States our Constitution and Bill of Rights.

One might conclude that, given these facts, the majority of our U.S. Supreme Court see no problem kicking God from our public schools because public schools are government-owned legal entity.

This action does not prevent us to keep God in our churches and our homes.
