what religion doesn't celebrate christmas

Another year ends and a new beginning of hope and expectation is emerging. Christmas and New Year are a bit more but we are already in the second week of 2009 – goodbye to the passing year and a grand reception in the new year of hope and happiness! Christmas is a time of hope and new beginning for all, irrespective of religion. But amid all the holidays, buying gifts and party in the mountains of food we should not forget why we celebrate Christmas – for most people is the celebration of the birth of Jesus of Nazareth, but for some it does not extend beyond the lights of Christmas gifts and of course Turkey! New Year is celebrated on 1 January of the Gregorian calendar, but it was always the same.

The celebration of the new years have seen There in ancient Babylon about 4000 years with the emergence of the first new moon, the first day of Spring – The season of the Renaissance and the planting of new crops. The Roman calendar was amended many times by its emperors became out of synchronization with the sun, and the manipulation continued until the emperor Julius Caesar created the Julian Calendar in 46 BC, declared January 1 as New Year. In the early Catholic Church condemned as a pagan celebration, but later began to have your own party, at the same time as the pagan celebrations. New Year's Day is still celebrated as the feast of Christ's Circumcision by some denominations. Another tradition of the Rose Parade and parading a baby in a basket to represent the spirit of rebirth and fertility, Greece and Egypt. Although the early Christians regarded it as paganism, the Church finally allowed its members to celebrate the new year with a baby to symbolize the birth of Jesus!

A new year brings about an earlier statement to the forefront, new year resolutions, dating back to the Babylonians – the resolution more popular at the time was to return borrowed farm tools! That is when people feel compelled to make decisions, but mostly are statements instead of decisions! But whether the resolutions have no plans to sensible and realistic attitude, you may not, giving a sense of inadequacy, low self esteem and even depression! Hence, is essential that one should not focus on any weaknesses or negative points, while considering whether to adopt new resolutions year. It is also important to consider a resolution that is unrealistic in the capacity of those who, otherwise it is doomed to failure – if you decide to read the Bible from beginning to end in the year, I will surely fail! It is known that the greatest number of accessions in the gym is just after New Year, while health and beauty is in the top of the list of New Year's resolutions! The cowardly abandoned after a few months because it requires a strong sense of commitment and willingness to continue work – quitting smoking is another popular resolution.

It's easy to feel some uncertainty and fear of the unknown when the world is about to crumble around him, and new technology brings the bombing, killing civilians innocent, crashing stock markets, rising fuel prices, job losses, etc in our drawing rooms. But human beings are blessed with the resilience and inventiveness that is able to adapt somehow find a way to cope with the situation. It is very important not to lose your sense of humor and have a good support system of friends and family in a kind of crisis. Yoga and pranayama (deep breathing exercises, to the uninitiated!) May well be improved by increasing the oxygen level in all systems and reducing stress hormones.

'End of year and the New Year "means different things to people – some would say, "Another year and another year" – but perhaps not wiser and more! The optimists among us like to think this is the new beginning and time of rejoicing. Hope is near the truth, because it really is the dawn of hope and happiness. Hope for a better world without fighting, bombing or killing innocent civilians and children.
