If we stopped the religious education of children, what effect would this have on the pace of technological progress?
Consider or do not think that religion is capable of keeping children in school and homework and obviously must take into account the negative effect of teaching children what amounts to nothing more than myth and superstition throughout the educational process and whether or not an effect is larger than the other.
Much depends on whether they also stop teaching things that children are based on religion – in particular, civilized behavior (which you say, do not kill, covet, bear false witness, and so on). If your question assumes that all religious concepts are no longer taught, then society would deteriorate into chaos and technological progress would be limited to selected targets of hungry people in powerful places. If talking about a society without God, but not a lawless society, there would be no impact, because people will take what will be on how your belief system going. There is a strong current to completely eliminate religious teachings, helped by the idea that we are brainwashed minds young people in some models. Unfortunately, this thinking ignores the fact that at some point in development, a person decides to accept the concepts of religion in their lives or reject them. In almost all cases, this occurs during adolescence. The conclusion is that no amount of religious education / indoctrination or lack thereof going to change much. But, social intolerance, lack of obedience to the legitimate tumult and chaos surely affect the company's ability to function.
