Several women Sudan were flogged as punishment for wearing "indecent," a local journalist who was arrested with them. Lubna Ahmed al-Hussein, who says he is facing 40 lashes, said she and 12 other women in trousers were arrested in a restaurant in the capital, Khartoum. She told the BBC, several women had pleaded guilty to charges and 10 lashes immediately. Khartoum, unlike southern Sudan is governed by Sharia. perhaps I am the only one who sees the hypocrisy. a religion which claims to be peaceful and that treats women with the greatest respect one by one hand while kept down to the other, killing their genitals and whipped in public, is unable to justify. contradiction is just too scary.
