what happens when two laws contradict each other? (Medicine / anti-religion) (see details)?
There are laws that protect freedom religious. There are also laws that protect life. A typical scenario of what I say. A child is taken to hospital with a disease easily treated with surgery. Without surgery, the child shall die. the child's parents are devotees of a religion that believes in the surgical intervention. (Not sure, are Jehovah's Witnesses? Please correct me) If life of the child shall be registered, the right to religious freedom is violated. If parents the right to freedom of religion, then the child going to die … physicians to violate their oath … do no harm … I am aware of these cases have occurred, then what is?
I think the group in question Christian Science may be. They will not take drugs because they believe this shows a lack of faith in God's ability to heal. Jehovah's Witnesses refuse blood treatments some (involving the blood), but now the acceptance of blood components.
