I'm fighting with my parents a lot because of my religion. What should I do?
I am an Orthodox Jew … wel thats what my parents want me to be wud but I want to be reformed and relaxed. I go to a public skwl and stuff, but I have to hide the fact that I had a couple of them otherwise id be in trouble so its not fun. I was not allowed to go because I went to my neighbor at my hair done then it is still "Shabbat". It bothers me that I do not know what to do. I'm going home every day to enter hell and have not even managing. im lucky that my income support me through college. thats what they said, not my opinion. Eben i dont no I want to do more, because im only 14. someone help me cuz i dont no what to do.
I've said a million times and I repeat. I think everyone has the right to believe that trusted, how they want to believe. But it is wrong, wrong, wrong to force their minor children to obedience to this topic. It is a brainwashing and indoctrination, and in some cases can lead to some pretty fucked up emotionally, and adults unbalanced. When parents find that the child is strong, and I'm very ashamed of his indoctrination religious, parents need to step back and not force the child to follow these strict rules and regulations, but find their own way. The only responsibility of parents is to do everything possible to ensure that children right from wrong, understand the need to respect the social order, and strive to be a decent human being. Beyond this child must have to grow up and decide for yourself whether or not to embrace the religion of their parents and / or family, other religion, or, if desired, no religion at all. It is their inalienable right.
