Does anyone get the wave that Obama is more atheist than anything else, but he hid for election?

First, no problem with Obama. I disagree with him on some issues, but I really agree with him on others, especially universal health care. Anyway, there was a big to-do about their religion. Of course, not a Muslim, born to a Muslim father became an atheist, and had -0 – association with the Islamic faith since he was 10. However, attending this church is crazy and everything, but not everyone feels really an atheist at heart? He never really expresses many thoughts about religion, and if he was an atheist, is not like that would have meant that, since it would destroy the hopes he had of being elected (unfortunately). I know that this is not really important, but was I the only one that wave?

I would not say he is an atheist. But I do not think it really is a Christian. Too many options that may be – deistic, pantheistic, theistic, apathetic, or even atheist. There has been very vocal about their personal belief system. I find it sad that the claim of another religion is a potentially political suicide. Faith alone does not accurately describe a person.
