The church closed its doors to the GLBT community?
LGBT people are accepted into the dominant religion, or removed because of their different values and orientation sexual? According to Bill Shepson in 2001, Charisma, an article, they were expelled not only the dominant religion, moreover, have been expelled. Shepson said: "The "gay" – founded by the excommunicated from the Church of God (Cleveland, Tennessee) minister Troy Perry in 1968 with a membership of more than 32,000 – is the largest gay church networks, which are all Pentecostal denominations small compared to traditional long distance, evangelical or charismatic. The statistics are not yet available for most of the churches outside the UFMCC gay (Shepson, 2001).
In the statement, "Statistics not even available for most of the churches outside the UFMCC gay ", then you can assume that its GLBT Christian is not a large enough population to collect statistics? However, that is, so feel abandoned by the major Christian groups have retained their faith but in turn left their own religious practices?
Shepson said that the Church "… addressed to those who struggle with homosexuality differently than those who do deal with issues that are easier to understand. Some Christian leaders believe the church often does more harm than good because its aversion to dealing with issues that make people uncomfortable "(2001).
It is the belief of this writer that most of the churches views on the basis of their GLBT in the passage of Leviticus 18:22, which reads: "Thou shalt not lie with a male as with a woman is an abomination …" and again, in Leviticus 20:13, "If a man lies with a male as with a woman, the two churches have committed an abomination, is subject to death: their blood is upon them. "I participated in this thought. These churches GLBT expected change the way before coming to the church and not accept the way they were and where they were found in the religious way.
It is the personal opinion of this writer All churches should respond to every person who walks through the door who are religious in their approach. Everyone speaks of the "WWJD" theme … if they really acted as Jesus did, that love through his faults and accept them as they were. Only after friendship with them, then, if you notice a difference in belief systems, I really believe Jesus himself spoke to them kindly.
