Why do some religious fundamentalists fear Yoga?
For many non-practitioners of yoga, which is intolerance for something I do not understand. It seems harmless at first, but cries of witchcraft are never a good sign. However, all methods of healing has its detractors.
Yoga has also been  accused of being a "launching pad" to export Hinduism. It is very interesting given the large number of yoga practitioners who are not Hindus. Some yogis and yogis do not convert to Hinduism, but "calling" was to come within themselves. In North America, most yoga teachers are not Hindus at all and I have yet to be religious conversion.
For the Hindu fundamentalists who think that yoga and Hinduism can not be separated, sorry but the news has already happened. Yoga has been interpreted in many ways by a variety of cultures and partial aspects of yoga have grown independently. Some styles of hatha are not even yoga practice of meditation.
Yoga students outside India, to choose what you want to learn yoga. At that time, the restriction physics seems to be more popular. This is why teachers of yoga outside of India are primarily focused on physical health. Many Western students think only in Hatha Yoga, when they hear the word "Yoga.Â"
Why is yoga can not really be controlled, regulated or patented. How to find popular notions of public accountability, actions, physical training, prayer, meditation or songs? The whole concept of Yoga control is ridiculous.
Fundamentalists of different religions to work together, by chance, to divide the religions of the world in the crowd of intolerance. His real fear is loss of control. Thus absolutes. spoken in a "" For example: "You will burn in hell if they do as I skirt" and "All non-believers Hell."
The real problem with Yoga, for fundamentalists of any religion, it can be practiced by anyone, any religion. Yoga is not exclusive: The laws are universal and interchangeable with any religion. This allows a practitioner of yoga to work independently in their spiritual health and work towards enlightenment.
What is wrong with the work towards the common good? The idea of working toward enlightenment and self-perfection are considered blasphemous to some. However, one can imagine a world where men and women do not seek to improve?
The goals of Yoga are Heath track, overcoming, self-realization and tranquility. With these gains, while the practice of yoga can help others and work for the common good.
