What are some effective arguments for the teaching of comparative religion in public schools?
I'm writing an essay PT for my English class to promote a World Class comparative religion in public schools. I already have a psychological reason based on hierarchy argument (the needs of Maslow, in May of this class to help a student reach a means of self-actualization). I've heard of other intellectual arguments – a source would be so nice. Thanks for your help!
– To combat the extreme ignorance that people generally have with respect to all religions except their own own. – The myths / stories from different religions often play a symbolic role in literature, politics, etc.
